I have posted floss toss images to the kit slide show, I also included the DMC threads in my floss tosses - but as they were so messy I didnt include them in the images - basically there were no "offensive" clashes on any of the colours mentioned below. There are a lot of greens & mauves - but none of the green fabrics I looked at were a problem, Fairy Forest would provide a lot of green visually, but the colours worked.
Recommendations include: Safe options - will be pretty & look great on any of these (not included in images) - Splash, Dawn Light, Moon Shadows Dove Grey, Gravestone, Wintered Marble.
More unusual or dramatic (included in images) - I like the Coral Jewels Royal Purple Double dyed linen, if I wasnt stitching St Petersburg on this, it would be my choice. I also like the 2 blues - Dreamscape & Barrier Reef. Some of the DMC would be close to these blues, but I think it will highlight the colours well, you would need to watch how you would go stitching any of the blues in the over one sections. Any of the other colours are also great - if it didnt work, I didnt put it in.
Other images include: Moon Shadows Charcoal, Atlantis, Fern Gully, Autumn Glade (evenweave), Watergraden, Camofudge (this is also one of my favourites), Coral Jewels Teal Green Double Dyed Linen (this was really greyed out on our monitor - much more vibrant in real life).
One last colour we didnt get to photograph is the "new" Midnight Magic. Our Navy dye has been changed from the manufacturer & is now dying a beautiful suede effect Navy Blue (no more fuschia or indigo bits). I have a piece of Jobelan (the new Jobelan now dyeing like linen!) & Linen drying at the moment, but not yet dry enough for photos. I think this would look great for the Hummingbirds as well.
