New Colour Releases
July - Country French Gold - between Golden Wattle & Terrafirma in depth & colour, Dramatic deep sampler colour, will work beautifully with rich reds, greens & blues in a style reminiscent of Provence.
December - Cloud Cover - a soft pretty blue sky with fluffy clouds, aiming at being a blue version of Wintered Marble. It is darker than Ice & Snow Baby Powder Blue, lighter than Into The Blue.
Moon Shadows Charcoal now available in a double dye in Linen & Jobelan 28ct
MARCH 2011
New colour releases
- Butter Creme - a soft & pretty pale mottle, on the yellow end of cream. Great for sampler designs.
- Blood & Smoke - a deep red/pink like Hunter Shiraz with a Charcoal crackle over the top. Great for dragons and wizards & I am thinking of stitching the new Chatelaine design White Hyacinth on this.
- Cosmos - a pretty navy with a Wisteria wash over the top. A great sky colour - I think the Mirabilia design Peony Garden would be great on this.
- River Song (bonus points for those of you who get the Dr Who reference :)) - a pretty blend of Yellow, Blue & Green - a dappled soft summer meadow. We are stitching our model of the new Nora Corbett Rhythm on this.
OCTOBER
New designs from Prairie Moon using our fabric have now been updated in the Designer Collections section.
The new Lavender & Lace Angel & new Mirabilia designs are now in stock.
We are kitting up 3 new Chatelaine designs - you can order from the Designer Collections - Chatelaine Online Projects section.
New printed charts from Chatelaine will be available in November.
Dinky Dyes - Some Dinky Dyes thread colours have been discontinued in the Cotton ranges. We have acquired the last of this stock & are having a clearance sale. We are also taking this opportunity to announce a price increase for remaining stock which will come into effect on 1st of November.

Fabric Update - We are now out of stock of undyed Aida 16ct Opal & very low on 32ct Jobelan (devastating news - this was one of my favourite fabrics!)

Mirabilia Price Reduction - due to the improvement in value of the Aussie dollar, we have been able to reduce Standard charts back to $20 each.

Opalescent Fabric Update - I am down to just 1 metre of undyed Aida 16ct Opal fabric. Once this has gone, I will remove Aida 16ct Opal from the fabric choices & post a listing of the dyed cuts which are still available.
OCTOBER
New from Heaven & Earth Designs - artwork from Gordon Fitchett - visit the designer collections area to see our WIP of our model of Overdressed Yet Enlightened on Splash
3 charts posted today & another of Gordon's duck designs to be released before the end of the month. We expect to have stock in hand by mid-October.

SEPTEMBER
New colour launch!
SPLASH is now available, soft & pretty, this is a very versatile colour. Similar in strength to Dawn Light (A little softer perhaps), but with more violet & some green & turquoise highlights.
Great as a new water colour, but also great for sky or a soft fantasy background - we are even working a new band sampler in mauves, blues & pinks on it!
JULY
Our production stock for the new silks was delayed by a few weeks, but we are definately launching this month.
I have set up a preorder special for those who want to catch an early bird bargain.
The Single Ply Silk arrived on the 30th of June & I have started winding & will be dyeing up as quickly as I can.
The 12 ply silk will hopefully be here mid-July & we will dye up what we can before heading off to Melbourne Show.
We are featuring the new Bamboo Silk fabric in the Blackbird Designs Stocking kits for July & will be releasing it for standard cut purchase in August.
JUNE SPECIAL
We are giving a sneak peak of our new silk thread range to be launched in July 2009!

New colour launch - 3 new colours
Arabian Nights - a romantic blend of blue, purpley/mauve with a splash of fushia.
Sand Storm - a replacement for Tundra (I think better than the original!)
Manor House - a replacement for Heritage but more brown than Heritage ever was, again, an improvement on the past.
New Fabric Cuts:
We are expanding the cuts available to offset some of the impact of having to increase prices due to falling exchange rates.
35 x 140cm, 70cm square, 100cm square and 70 x 140cm are just some of the new cuts added - see our New Fabric by Size section for the full range of cuts now available.

Fabric Availability:
Please note that a few of the Opalescent fabrics are no longer available from the factory. The stock I am holding is all that I can currently source.
If this situations improves, I will post a notice, but at present I am down to my last bolt of both Aida 16ct & Lugana 32ct Opalescent fabrics. I have less than 8m undyed of Aida 16ct Opalescent & less than 14m of Lugana 32ct Opalescent. I am holding Fat Quarters in stock pre dyed, but if you require a larger cut, I will be dyeing up the remaining fabric on an "as required" basis. I apologise for any inconvenience, but I am doing my best to convince Zweigart to put these fabrics back into production.
Update: May09 - I have managed to source 2 more bolts of Lugana 32ct Opal fabric, but have been told that the fabric will not go into production again. We have been told that all other opal fabrics (ie not Aida 16ct or Lugana 32ct) will remain in production.

October 1 - New Spice Blend - Peacock Fantasy - a blend of greens, blues, turquoise & violet. This colour will suit water scenes, fantasy skies, fairy forests & garden backdrops. I think it would suit the new Mirabilia Mermaids of the Deep Blue, we plan to stitch our model on 32ct Lugana. I have also started a new model on this colour in 32ct Jobelan for the Chatelaine Mandala garden Knotgarden
